a moden day built traditional Hawaiian sailing vessel - sailed to (amongst many places), and docked in for ? a week, or so in NYC's North Cove by the World Financial Center (west of the Trade Towers) on The Hudson River.

It's a place I've visited many times for ?20 yrs+ till covid, so it was easy for me to venture down there. It was very cool to see!

I've often drawn sail boats in a certain set of drawings so that made it extra special.

Too bad they didn't show the traditional "stick maps" that used sticks with pebbles tied together in usually a rectangular frame - that showed wave patterns between certain islands. The pebbles representing particular islands.

I found out about those? about 40 yrs ago when one appeared on a U S. postal stamp!
