Soooo, any poets among us? NaPoWriMo begins tomorrow!

To tell the truth I've never been one to participate in group writing exercises...well, I did do the 3:15 Project for a couple of years many years ago (During the month of August you wake up at 3:15 am every morning, write whatever you are moved to write and go back to sleep). But I'm trying to get a project off the ground and I plan to do a poem a day during the month of April.

I don't expect miracles but sometimes a germ is born. I've been surprised before.

After all, if you don't write, you most definitely won't get that gem.

I do write rhyming poetry but most of it does not. I've been playing with forms lately. I'm a sucker for repetition in rhythms and imagery. I've been playing with villanelles a good bit, and old fashioned call-and-response pieces.

Have I written a poem every day? Nope. But I've got a few pieces I like and one I felt good enough about to send out. Such is poetry.

Btw what rhymes with "Snake"?
