The city is Asmara Eritrea (Ethiopia at that time)

(40 posts)from this photo, but, from the bulbous fender swells front and back and the squared-off rectangular windshield, I think it might be an Allard J1 (British) roadster...

The Allard radiator was shaped differently, though some were simialar.

(60,327 posts)and a Falaschi. It has a 1,900cc 12 cylinder engine. An old Italian said it belonged to Fangio, but that should be taken with a big grain of salt.
Some work is going to be done to recover details. If they can bring out the badge in front, that will help. It could be a Ghia badge.
Falaschi designed the Talbot.
