Clue about gateway cloud errors, slow response?

This thread takes forever to load, consistently, even when everything else loads lickety-split. Even got a cloudfare error. It seems to have no text, though from the title one would expect text or some insert / embed.

Analyzing this may reveal clues as to whether there is a systemic issue with posts that causes the notorious slow behaviour at times. It might be something that can be checked for and remedied (automatically) before the post is accepted.

It only loaded once for me, and my reply loads almost instantly, but the OP does not and View All has the same (non-)effect.

2. Here's another, takes age to load while all else is hunky-dory.

It eventually loads and can't find the bluesky post but at least puts the frame up.

I don't know if the first thread has the same issue.

3. I don't think it's related...

I was able to get the post to load (eventually). It contains just a link to a BlueSky post, which is not loading. So in this case it’s probably related to the way we fetch posts from BlueSky and something at their end which is causing the content to not load. That is noteworthy, but I don’t think it’s related to our other 403 issues which we currently believe are caused by excess traffic (often AI crawlers).

5. Just FYI, every slow-loading post for me today had a Bluesky embed.

8. It's just a normal Bluesky post from Ron Filipkowski, and this is the first I've heard of anyone on DU

having trouble viewing his posts here. It opens instantly for me. It has over 400 replies on Bluesky (and thousands of likes and reposts), but since DU doesn't display the replies, that shouldn't make it open more slowly.
