UConn takes down Illinois to advance to national title
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — UConn beat Illinois, 71-62, to advance to the national championship game for the third time in the last four years.
Greenfield native Braylon Mullins had 15 points for the Huskies.
UConn led 37-29 at halftime.
UConn will play the winner of No. 1 seed Arizona and No. 1 seed Michigan in the national championship on Monday. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:50 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium.
