Top Oversight Dem 'promises' to investigate 'Trump crime family' if they retake the House - The Weeknight - MS NOW

Democrats aren't waiting to check Trump on his monetizing of the office, as new reporting reveals they're preparing a "hostile audit" of his $2.2 billion financial disclosures. Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) is one of those Democrats leading the charge, and he joins The Weeknight to break it down. - Aired on 07/07/2026.

Do the powers that be have the ability to analyse his 'dealings', identify which are illegal, and have the power to confiscate such profits back into government coffers?

'Proceeds of crime' laws are very clear elsewhere!
Other countries do it when needed.

but the immediate action. executive order day one, the minute that tiny finger leaves the button ...., is freeze their assets. all of them. every business, "charity" and bank account. every crypto wallet.

these people would be living under the interstate without fraud, waste, and abuse.

under civil forfeiture these assets can be seized and assumed "proceeds of crime" forcing trump to prove that he earned them legitimately.

"sieze their assets?"

thanks, spell checker. i wonder if kids these days even learn the spelling rules?

"i before e except after c." is a spelling rule from 1st grade that never seems to work.

"ceiling" ok that part checks
"receive" sure blows it to hell

The rule "i before e except after c" is a mnemonic for spelling, but it has many exceptions and is not universally reliable. thanks, for nothing, copilot!
