Trump made the mess, Trump needs to undo it.

Why not:
Pull out from the attack and convince Bibi to do the same.
Remove Trump from office.
The US apologizes for the act of insanity and makes restitution to Iran.

But the US is frozen into inaction, and Trump never learnt how to back out gracefully.

This will go on for a very long time.
