(78,082 posts)Another factor I keep in mind is that she thinks the felon had committed to giving her a top spot in his second administration, then went back on his word. That's similar to NYS's "family" business's very own Elise Stefanik, the almost ambassador to the UN. The felon saw that she had gained weight since coming to Congress, and told people he didn't want a "fat lady" representing him. Hence, the lie that he needed her to hold that seat. While she doesn't have an apetite for publicly disagreeing with the felon -- like she did when she first came to the House -- she decided to run for governor, without discussing it with the felon. She, too, felt betrayed by the felon, and has political ambitions that include being the next VP, and eventually president.
