You used to get the benefit of a robust, fully functioning government that tried to do good for every citizen. Keep track of disease keep federal highways repaired, distribute money to cities and counties that needed it for their own projects. That fort of thing. That’s over. Now you tax dollars go directly to the very wealthiest to reduce their taxes. They also increasingly go to Trump’s buddies to build prisons, to fund Ice to keep you in line, and to help foreign governments where Trump has investments.
