16. Okay. I understand...

As one whose father and three uncles served in the European or Pacific theaters, yet survived to come home and another uncle, did not, I have long wanted to understand as much as I can about that period and what caused people (especially Germans) to act as they did. Seeing the eery repetition today, I am particularly questioning what I know (and do not).
