referred to "a 79-year-old man." It was changed to the "cry baby" wording quite a bit later. But I haven't been able to find a news source for the earlier wording, either. Just a bunch of social media posts about what was apparently an invented quote.

You should realize that IF Macron had actually said that - either version - there would have been a lot of real news stories about it.

There aren't any. Just a lot of social media posts. I checked a number of them, and none referred to a real source.
