27. He wasn't offensive, but his emphasis was misplaced

Tip O’Neill was correct, “all politics is local.” What Gavin Newsom has to say will not change votes one way or the other in a Texas primary. Talarico is wasting valuable time bothering. Keep it local to Texas. Who we end up electing to the Senate in Texas will not hinge on what is said in Sacramento any more than the next governor of California will be determined by speeches by Texas Democrats in Austin. In a statewide election, the message has to resonate with the people who will be voting there. If it doesn’t, it was wasted hot air.
