the Antichrist in Biblical prophecy--- and the majority of the evangelical christian church
now bear an uncanny resemblance to his followers as described in those prophecies
(and they of all people ought to recognize what he looks like, but they are blind):
Revelation 13:4 (KJV): "And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?"
Prophecy indicates the Antichrist initially rises to power through diplomacy, flatteries, and a "peaceful" appearance,
only to become a tyrant.
Daniel 8:25 (KJV): Describes how "...by peace shall destroy many..."
Daniel 11:21 (KJV): Mentions a "vile person" who "...shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries."
1 Thessalonians 5:3 (KJV): Notes that when people say, "Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them."
Revelation 6:2 (KJV): Describes a rider on a white horse who goes forth "...conquering, and to conquer."
2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (KJV): Explains how deception is used, as "...Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."
