Republicans' surrender [View all]

News anchors and pundits repeatedly state that Republicans in Congress have given up on oversight of the Trump administration because they fear retaliation. I’d appreciate it if another reason was considered….raw cowardice.

If a 70 year old woman in Minneapolis dares to stand up to ICE even though she only has a sign and whistle while they have weapons and ammunition, Republicans should be able to muster up a teeny portion of that kind of courage. Most Republicans seem to be tiptoeing down the path of no resistance, their road most traveled.

Trump and his administration are a dangerous disgrace but Republicans give them permission to operate like that. Some Republicans approve of the policies, some care more about their next election than they do our Constitution.

The midterms should be our turn at retribution.
