The free states of the US have effectively held the line in many, many areas. Yes, he is doing, and will continue to try to do incalculable harm. But state governments, Democratic attorneys general, citizen interest groups, and brave individuals have had victories that cannot be discounted. The kidnappings and detentions, among other things are beyond intolerable, but he is NOT the all powerful being the tortured malignant, psychopath believes himself to be. Two things can be simultaneously true. Opposition has weakened him. Paradoxically, as he weakens, he becomes more desperate and more extreme. Ultimately, the madness will only weaken him further as brick-by-brick the protective wall of trumpublicans begins to slowly crumble.
