82. Very sad

Stop second guessing yourself.
We just lost our little rescue dog after 14 years.
The move to our new flat didn't help. Mostly blind and deaf he lost contact with dogs he knew and had to find his way around a new house. No way of knowing if he would have lasted longer if we had stayed in the old place.
