is that you didn't have to be a super-sleuth to learn it. All of this information about Trump, including his mob ties, has been readily available for nearly 50 years. It wasn't hidden. It is why he is so hated in New York City. They saw him the most, got to know him best.

Traditionally, the press would have reminded the voting public of these things when he first started running for office. His political opponents would have likewise made hay with it starting in the primaries.

I think one of the biggest differences has been in the gullibility of the voting public. They were so eager to believe he was the character on his TV show. Just like Lonesome Rhodes.
