19. It's a very ugly thing

I do wonder how much of her popularity is because of versus in spite of her views and if this sort of thing will fade or if the rot is just going to grow. Obviously unfortunately antisemitism isn't going away entirely, but how much is flaring up from Israel's policies (not trying to justify antisemitism itself) versus something more akin to how Republicans and other nationalist parties elsewhere talk about welfare queens and immigrants.

I fear the latter would be harder to get rid of. Eventually Netanyahu will leave, presumably some sort of relatively peaceful status quo will happen in Gaza. Would that cause the antisemitism to fade back to its normal level? Again, still not an acceptable level, but I'd like to get back to the days where it wasn't racists throwing firebombs at a peaceful memorial or lighting ambulances on fire because they were from a synagogue. But if we're going to see more of these people rising up in the party, regardless because some significant part of our base has come to embrace antisemitism, that's a self perpetuating problem.
