... Joy has United Health Care through CIA, and it is the best private insurance I've ever seen. Up front, she is privileged because of her CIA connection. I know UHC has a bad reputation for delaying and denying treatments.

Being on VA, it makes the knot that Medicare was never meant to become, irrelevant for me.

Off topic: I was disappointed with all the monkeyshine aspersion aimed at you this week. Sometimes you are obviously the only adult in the room.
