(17,870 posts)I have a cat sanctuary in a rural area with a large number of kiddos. They have access to a heated and cooled building, but by far, the majority choose to be in the enclosed outdoor area. I have a pretty big operation from past years in rescue in a larger city.
Luckily, I had some fly traps left from last year because the traps are already selling out locally. I have big commercial fans that I'm running, too, and those help keep mosquitoes and flies pushed away. I've already been in contact with my vet and they will send updates via email as more info is learned.
We've had a lot of storms in this area over the last couple of months, so grass is green and plentiful right now. The deer are healthier this year than last locally, so at least they aren't going into his already sickly and skinny.
