That's a weird way of saying that the oligarchy doesn't need the viewership for CBS. They want obedience.

The rich already have the media pretty much sewn up; even NPR is timid. So whether CBS is profitable or not is no longer relevant. The Ellisons are rich enough.

Now, they are going for the control, the power, the dominance. The iron heel.
