How anti-cigarette groups forced the tobacco companies to pay for one anti-smoking ad for every two pro-smoking ads using the Fairness Doctrine. The anti-smoking ads were so effective that eventually the tobacco industry actually lobbied Congress to make cigarette ads illegal. We could have done the same thing with gun control. No wonder Reagan was so hot to get rid of the Fairness Doctrine.

But I remember those cool, anti-smoking ads from you youth. They were pretty cute. This was one of my favourites.
