I don't know if that is the story line for Adams' later life, but I'd say it is highly probable.

Beware any people who claim to be authorities and win your favor by telling you what you wanted to hear anyway.

And for those who aren't living in the cocoon, prostate cancer is among the most survivable cancers with early detection, and in >95% of the cases, early detection is very manageable. Prostate survivor here.

If he detected it and wasted a year taking Bob Kennedy treatments, he chose his own fate.
