If he can't steal something, extort it, or intimidate someone into yielding it to him he is simply incapable of imagining any other way of achieving his goal.
Yet almost every school-age child requires only a few weeks to learn how their actual performance and behavior can influence their achievements, for better or worse.

They just announced that the decision to grant the award is final. So they can't do that.
