I went there 8 years ago. It’s a beautiful country. People are friendly and we felt totally safe. I’d imagine the state is a lot worse now. We were there after Obama had opened things up, and just before Trump tightened things up again.

But the infrastructure is in really bad shape. US policy toward Cuba has always been one of the stupidest imaginable. Trump obviously just wants another branded property in Havana.
