Krasnov is threatening to fire Powell if he decides to stay on the Fed after his chair expires.

There is a big difference.

If Chair Jerome Powell stays on as a Fed governor after his successor is confirmed, President Donald Trump said he'll have him removed from office.
Trump said the investigation into the renovation at the Fed's headquarters must continue.
