You can do whatever you want to as long as you do it quickly enough because it takes legislatures and courts so long to address the problem and by the time that they do, the damage is done.

Since fascist leaders always seem to evade prison (Fatso will play the dementia card and succeed because duh), we've usually been able to convict and jail enough of their enablers to cool off the anti government frenzy for a few decades and maybe that's the best we can hope for. We tend to be reactive, not proactive.

This administration has been so egregious in its overreach that we do have a chance of getting legislation to define and limit the power of the executive to govern by fiat, such legislation rising to the constitutional amendment level should the corrupt Roberts court squawk too much about it.
