13. When I was in first grade

My dad was a Marine and at that time we lived on the Cherry Point Marine Base in NC. There was a theater on base and on Saturday afternoons my two older siblings and I would go to matinee. I can still remember putting the dime in the entry turnstile and going through. Can’t say I had a favorite movie or genre. We watched whatever was playing. I’m sure our mom was happy to have us out of her hair for a couple of hours. I remember one horror film so scary I was stuffing my mittens in my mouth to stop from screaming. Something like the Beast with Five Fingers. Not sure if that’s correct. Probably really lame if I saw it again now!
