Garofolo plays an assistant to a U.S. senator from Boston.
In an attempt to court the Irish-American vote in a tough re-election battle, the bumbling senator's chief of staff, Nick, sends her to Ireland to find the senator's relatives or ancestors.
After travelling to Ireland, she is unable to find any of the senators' relatives, and later learns that the reason she can't find any of his relatives in Ireland is that he's not Irish. He's Hungarian.
