6. Years ago, I was 15 feet from a utility pole......

Wednesday

...when it got hit by lightning. Transformer on the pole exploded, the concussion knocked me off my feet and into a ditch ten feet away. I wasn't injured, but needless to say, I came away with a very healthy respect for the power of lightning.
