El Cheeto is obviously counting on most U.S. voters simply never hearing about this.

Or only in such vague terms, it would escape them that these are taxpayer dollars going to a country that (under right-wing regimes) has a long history of simply using bailouts to finance dollarization and offshoring of peso assets.

Such that we'd never get that money back.

It takes two to tango.
