Apart from the series with the White Sox the offense has all but disappeared. Nico Hoerner is hitting .256. After flirting with .400 at the beginning of the season, Moises Ballesteros is hitting .240. Dansby Swanson is hitting .189. Michael Busch is hitting .224. And on and on; the bats are cold as ice and the pitching simply isn't good enough to cover for them.
