"The Gilded Age (roughly 1870–1900) was an era of stark contrasts. While a wealthy few thrived on unprecedented industrial prosperity and corruption, the general public faced severe hardships, including cramped tenement slums, low wages, and dangerous working conditions.

The old saying :"What goes around, comes around." How true.
