Gen. Charles "CQ" Brown Jr.: Fired as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on February 21, 2025.

Adm. Lisa Franchetti: Dismissed as the Chief of Naval Operations on February 21, 2025. She was the first woman to lead the U.S. Navy.

Gen. Timothy Haugh: Fired as head of both the National Security Agency (NSA) and U.S. Cyber Command in April 2025. He had served in intelligence and cyber operations for over 30 years.

Gen. Jeffrey Kruse: Fired as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in August 2025. This occurred after the DIA reportedly contradicted White House claims about Iran's nuclear facilities.

Adm. Linda Fagan: Fired as Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard. She had been the first woman to hold the position.

Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force: Gen. James Slife was also dismissed in February 2025.

Lt. Gen. Jennifer Short: The top military assistant to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was relieved of her duties in February 2025.

Gen. Mark Milley: His security detail and clearance were revoked in February 2025, and his portrait was removed from the Pentagon. Milley, a retired Army general who served as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during Trump's first term, had become a vocal critic of him.
