People sign up to serve with the understanding that we promise to take care of their health and not abuse their gift of service. The already fragile VA system is being harvested and raided as if a hedge fund bought it for parts, or a bonfire maybe.

Anyway. Yesterday morning I held the letter signed by President Obama that reads:

The United States of America
honors the memory of
(Dad)
This certificate is awarded by a grateful
nation in recognition of devoted and selfless consecration to the service of
our country in the armed forces of the United States.

Barack Obama
President of the United States

I don't know if the text in the letters change depending on the president and his (or one day her) thoughts. I realize this was signed by autopen. Doesn't matter to me.

If today Mr. Тяцмp were to write such a letter, without mocking his absurd speaking tics but focusing on substance it would read:

Hello poor person. Because you are inferior, you are willing to risk your life daily for very little pay. Suckers and losers like you will now serve my personal interests as part of the most powerful military in the history of the world, at my disposal to profit myself my friends and my family however I wish whenever I feel like it, with absolute disregard for the safety and security of United States of America and her people. Please know that I will very gladly sacrifice the life of you and everyone you know without a thought if it profited me by one single dollar. But trust me, I'll get a lot more than that for your lives.

Please know that no one enlisted in order to enrich Donald Jessica Trump and his minions as a private military. They enlisted to serve this country. It is literally perverse to so abuse and capture the gift of their service. Not unlike switching sides in the middle of a fucking war, which he also did for Putin.

We must not let ourselves be manipulated to divide ourselves up into tribes,D v. R, men against women, races and cultures, every way that can. I read the OP as very possibly at least influenced by, perhaps even generated by those forces that see to divide us because hatred only weakens us. No, I did not check, but I encourage everyone to make sure that we are not getting our emotions whipped up in the service of people who do not have our best interest in mind and want to divide us. If she's real, my heart breaks for her.

I fight hatred in my heart. Hate is never the answer really, (well maybe except for Putin.)
