Some of it was understandable. They were horrific attacks, but it’s clear much of the response since was just political cover for Netanyahu. Once they shifted toward hezbollah and killed nasrallah, it was clear they were intent on settling all scores. Hamas was relatively easy and Israel ran out targets quickly, so they just resorted to killing as many civilians as possible and calling them all Hamas.

What pisses me off is that we have leadership that simply goes along with whatever Israel wants. Netanyahu has wanted Iran bombed for decades now.l and to really avoid opening a Pandora’s box in the region, Obama was looking for non kinetic means (like the Stuxnet virus) and eventually working on the nuclear agreement.

I understand Israel has viewed Iran as a major threat (even existential), but it’s not our job as Americans to back every one of Israel’s stupid moves. Cut Israeli military aid off and then they may think twice when funding for the iron dome and David’s sling dries up. Those are very expensive systems and who knows how many cheap drones Iran has to keep throwing out there. It’s a lot more expensive to intercept them than launch it.
