(19,951 posts)grew up with them all around me. My family is mostly male, I have one cousin who is a woman, the rest of us "kids" are men.
Most of them are awful. They taught me not to trust men/boys.
Of those men, most of them kept on with it, but a few completely turned themselves around and became different people.
Since I've seen it, experienced the "then and now" difference, I tend to support positive change, because if you treat someone like their past is the only thing that matters, there is no reason to change for the better.
There are also people who change for the worse.
I can't know for sure which category Platner is in (no one can), but I sure hope he can dislodge Collins and that is the most important thing this cycle: getting D butts in seats.
